This Renaissance of Light

This Renaissance of Light

Susan C Larkin and Timothy Larkin have collaborated on a book celebrating the beauty of plants. Susan’s photographs are mainly black and white images of plants and plant remnants, reminiscent of the work of Karl Blossfeldt.  Tim’s poems are riffs off five of the photos.

Chronicling Brief Lives

Chronicling Brief Lives

A water colorist and a photographer have collaborated to produce this book of plant illustrations. Susan’s lens and milly’s brush approach the same subject in very different ways. Susan’s quest is for that one arresting feature, while milly strives to document the whole plant. The book presents 16 species, providing commentary on the history of each one, followed by a water-color illustration and a photograph.
